Psychological Counselling for Adolescents and Adults

In Brussels and online

When should you consult a psychologist?

Seeing a psychologist is a way of taking care of yourself and giving yourself a space that is entirely your own. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support, you can come before you reach your breaking point.
Sometimes life feels confusing. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns without understanding why, or simply wish to move forward, gain clarity, or make changes in your life or the way you function.

Whether your difficulties are personal, relational or professional, everyone needs, at some point, a safe and confidential space where they can express what they are going through.

I regularly support clients with:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Exhaustion (burnout, boreout, brownout)
  • Life transitions and everyday challenges
  • Self-confidence and assertiveness
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Emotion regulation

My approach

I offer an integrative approach, meaning that I tailor the tools and techniques I use to your situation, your pace, and your personal resources. There is no single path to feeling better. My role is not to provide ready-made answers, but to help you develop the tools you need to move forward with greater autonomy.

You will be welcomed without judgment, in a space that belongs entirely to you. Sessions can be one-off consultations or part of an ongoing therapy. Together, we will decide on the frequency of sessions according to your needs. If I believe another professional would be better suited to support you, I will gladly refer you to the appropriate person.

Confidentiality and professional secrecy are guaranteed in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Psychologists.

Sessions are available individually, either in person or online. Family sessions are offered in person only.

Psychological support for pet guardians

Taking care of your animal starts with taking care of yourself.
Sharing your life with an animal is an incredible source of joy, but it can also bring complex emotions. Stress, guilt, exhaustion, loneliness, or feeling misunderstood by those around you: guardians of sensitive, reactive, or chronically ill dogs often face experiences that deserve to be acknowledged and supported.

As both a clinical psychologist and a canine behaviour consultant – and the guardian of two sensitive dogs myself -I offer a space where your experience is genuinely understood, as well as the unique bond you share with your animals.

I can support you with situations such as:

  • Living with a sensitive, reactive, or anxious dog
  • Stress and caregiver fatigue related to dogs with specific needs
  • Adoption and the adjustment period, including puppy blues or post-adoption depression
  • Relationship or family difficulties linked to your bond with your animal
  • Family transitions or major life changes
  • Illness or ageing of a companion animal
  • Pet bereavement

Support for fear of dogs

Dogs are everywhere: on the street, in parks, or when visiting friends and family. If you’re afraid of dogs, everyday life can become a constant source of stress and anxiety.

Your fear is valid, and it deserves to be taken seriously.

Using a gradual approach and always respecting your pace, we work on two complementary aspects: managing stress and emotions on the one hand, and understanding dogs on the other.

Learning to read canine body language and understanding their behaviour and communication signals can already make a significant difference. We’ll also explore practical ways to behave around dogs to reduce uncomfortable situations and help you feel safer.

The goal isn’t necessarily to make you love dogs, but to help you feel calm when walking outside or encountering one in everyday life.

The first sessions take place either online or at the practice, without any dogs present.

When you feel ready, Ubi, my Italian water dog, trained in animal-assisted interventions can join the sessions to support a gentle, progressive exposure process.
